How to talk to school about your child's behaviour

9 July 2026

The conversation goes differently when you bring specifics: when exactly the difficulties appear, how often, and what helps.

Instead of "he can't sit still" — "focus disappears in the third lesson and comes back after movement". That's already a basis for an agreement.

Come with one or two proposals rather than a list of complaints. For example: a seat closer to the teacher, or a short movement break.

Write the agreements down and revisit them in two or three weeks.
